yes you can hack it, i have a psp slim god of war edition that is a psp 3000 and its on 3.51 hacked. yours if its an original phat is a psp 1000.

It's still going to be called a PSP original on 3.51 OFW "for hacking purposes." Nothing chances unless you are on custom firmware. Then it may be called a "PSP original on 3.51 CFW."

It basically depends on what firmware you are on. But there isn't like a secret code name for a hacked PSP, ha. Hope I helped :y:
