Never mess with the flash0 if you don't know what your doing. /facepalm

tip bro always back up your flash0 thats what i always do and you still on 3.55 m33 you should of upgraded to 5.00m33-6..

If you had a 1000 - early 2000 you could use the pandora battery; late 2000 - n1000...you have a shiny doorstop.:confused:

1. Go to recovery mode (hold "R" Button [by default] on PSP startup)

2. Click Configuration

3. Change: XMB USB Device to Flash 0

4. Exit recovery mode and plug in your USB to your PC

5. Go to VSH and then ETC (on computer) XD

6. Open 'version.txt'

7. Change the firmware to THE CURRENT Version that you are using.. AKA if your on 3.55 then ONLY change the 9.90 to 3.55 then save and exit.

PS. Also make sure the file isn't read-only..

1st- i have a psp 1000 the first one bought on the release day
2nd - i know how to mess with the flash0
3rd - i just want to see if there is an way to unbrick it without pandora

1. Get a 2000 Series, much easier to work with imo, and theyre so much better
2. Obviously you do not know how to edit the flash0 because your PSP is bricked.
3. Generally no, maybe use a few different tools, like PsP Tool, Fast Recovery, or go and buy a new psp.

Yes, you have seen it somewhere else another guy posted what I have BUT I didn't learn this from him, I knew this from pspiso.com where I found a post asking how to change a firmware version on GEN cfw. Guy on here has the almost exact thing I have posted but I changed it to be my own Sorry, I'm not stealing his small TUT but it is easy info to find
