Kazou Hirai, the big boy over at Sony Computer Entertainment, says that the Vita will be available before Christmas in Japan and as for the USA and Europe, you’ll have to wait until 2012...

You could always import one from Japan, but it won’t be the same, will it? Feeling the rush of being the first in line and ripping the box to shreds…

you never know... sony will be officially releasing the release date at TGN (or what ever the evnt is) on september 15-18. There might be a chance it could be released earlier. They have recently acquired the FCC sticker and if no adjustments are to be made to the device they wont need to get it re-checked. Since the FCC's sticker is on it, it could mean that a release date is not too far away. But you never know... I would rather get it sooner than later, but if they do decide to release it in 2012, i wont be upset.
