PS3 scene started getting serious when fail0verflow revealed their ‘epic fail’ research on the console’s security along with the PS3 tools release (which has been taken down several times).

2 days ago, we get to see the release of the Vita tools which is the equivalent version of fail0verflow’s hard work, this time, on the PlayStation Vita.

To quote from deroad’s blog:

“I uploaded a new version of pkg_reader and added the awsome pupunpack for PSVITA PUPs (i built this one right now. just 30 mins it works as the ps3 version. )!!

i hope that these tools will be useful someday!”

yeah not to mention wololo is releasing his VHBL exploit in a few days which means we could start getting homebrew pretty early.
