They immediately put engineers to work on making a more stable firmware, that firmware being version 1.67, it was deployed and the games used for the hack (removed PSP games - MotorStorm Arctic Edge and Hot Shots Tennis). This firmware apparently was not released quick enough though. Hackers claim to have found another PSP game that opens the door to homebrew on Vita including, unfortunately for Sony, on the new firmware. Videos of the original Doom for PC running on a Vita with the latest firmware installed have already emerged. The game that was found for the exploit is still unknown, the hackers are keeping quiet to slow down any potential response from Sony. But the to-and-fro battle with hackers has certainly begun.
