Is it on CFW or OFW? you haven't stated that.

you need 5.50 gen firmware and you have to be on a lower firmware that can put into 5.50. you might as well update to 6.6x and use the downgrade hack for it to a lower 5.xx and update, if your trying to use it for a file called ps3jig for a ps3.
