Post: Has anyone attempted to hack the Vita saves for Trophy saves, altered saves, etc. yet

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); As the title says, I'm just wondering if anyone attempted to hack save files for trophy saves and altered saves (such as "infinite hp" saves) yet like with the PS3 saves. I'm curious because with Sony basically saying that they are dropping support for the system it shouldn't be too hard to start hacking the thing. (Heck I just looked at the first page for the Vita section of this site and there are a few pages for cfw now.)

Well I will quickly sum up the current state on the Vita for you.

1. The CFW that you were seeing were not actually for the Vita per say they are actually for the PSP side of things meaning that it has no function with the Vita itself but the PSP emulation on it. Therefore the CFW you were seeing will not give any help in trying to modify Vita Games.
2. There is 1 (well 2 but I will explain) native PSVita hack that is currently being developed however the catch is that you need to have the PSM Dev Application on your Vita which can no longer be downloaded meaning that only the lucky people who have been able to get it will be able to use the hack that is upcoming. However I did say there was 2 methods which is technically correct but the second still require the PSM Dev Application for Unity instead and again Sony has pulled the plug on them so if you don't have them then your out of luck at least for now.
3. The hack that is being developed we are not sure as to what it can allow or what it will provide because Yifan Lu has said that is has some useful features for homebrew & emulators but has stated that it will pretty much not allow much else. That being said though it does not mean that someone else wont be able to find an exploit within Yifan Lu's exploit and get more access to the Vita.
4. Someone has managed to decrypt a PSVita save but without the keys to resign it, it will remain pretty useless for the time being. Even then I believe he was only able to decrypt 1 games save so it may take a lot longer before anyone can do anything like modding saves in general.

In a nut shell not possible and probably wont be for a while at least.

Oh and the recent 3.52 update kills PSM Dev Applications so if your on that firmware then you will not be able to use the native vita hack either because the apps will not open.
