As everyone is playing and its been a very popular game i would assume that the devs patch hacks/mods or coins that have been hacked etc

Server sided games are not able to be modded.

Guess the only way to get them for free, is actually having some of your Pokemons inside a Gym (or Arena or what ever).
You'll get 10 Coins per Pokemon (up to 10 Pokemon / 100 Coins in total) every 21hours ^^.

Just go to "Pokeball ---> Shop" and click the button top right corner to get those coins Smile
