On February 11th, a WoW player named James Swan (27) was asked by his mother to quiet down whilst he was yelling at the game for some reason as her 3 grandchildren were trying to sleep.

However, James ignored his mother's requests and after which she came up and put her hand on his shoulder which caused James to erupt into a furious rage. He grabbed his mother by the hair and threw her across the room.

His Mother attempted to dial 911 only to have James remove the phone from the wall and begin to choke his mother.

James' Grandfather came in with a handgun after a power struggle for the gun which was still holstered misfired and clipped his left ear.

My question to you is, do you think the addiction to World of Warcraft could have caused this in any way or was it just some person who was trouble seperating reality from fantasy?

I only joke about it since I played about a good 48 hours+ every week

That doesn't mean that I only played 2 days, I mean actually added 48 or more hours to my account per week...14 years old...And I seriously did quit a few weeks ago so it was hardly a joke.

So sorry if I offended somehow, but I just give good advice: World of Warcraft is a world INSIDE a world... If WoW players don't get that, go look at a real map and add on the WoW map to it lol.

Either these are the only Players I know or all WoW Players seem to be no life Nerds. This Guy is just disgusting and should be locked away

WTF was wrong with that dude, assaulting her mother is something very wrong, I mean she's the one who gave him life and WoW wouldn't leave him anything for the life, I now its fun but don't to take it that serious. I think that dude had a mental problem BTW.

it's pretty bad when people get addicted to games, specially WOW.
Some people hate being disrupted in anyway at all when they are playing, probably set the guy off.. and he's probably unstable to begin with.
