After a long wait, Playstation Network is back up and connectable to all PS3s. After a day of most FAT PS3 users being unable to connect due to a time/date error, the issue seems to have been resolved and users can now connect once more.

For non-UK users, the PSN should start working at midnight in your time zone.

Will update with information as to how Sony fixed this issue when it surfaces.

Sony did not actually fix the issue, the issue fixed itself thats what i read. Heres the statement Sony made:

We are aware that the internal clock functionality in the PS3 units other than the slim model, recognized the year 2010 as a leap year.

Having the internal clock date change from February 29 to March 1 (both GMT), we have verified that the symptoms are now resolved and that users are able to use their PS3 normally.If the time displayed on the XMB is still incorrect, users are able to adjust time settings manually or via the internet. If we have new information, we will update you through the PlayStation.Blog or PlayStation.com.

ye, friends of me lost lots of trophies cuz they tried to play the game while the error occured, im glad sony told us to not play any games while the error is there, so i still got everything, but for ex. a friend of me tried to play waw n now all his waw trophies r gone...

Luckily my fat never went down. Glad it's back up though since MW2 was lacking players.
