The DLC in BioShock 2, that was annouced to be released even before the game was, is actually already in your possession! It is in your game already, but it is just locked so you can't get to it.
The DLC download file is just 24kb in size on the PC, 108kb on the Xbox 360 and 103kb on the PS3.
If I were you, I wouldn't pay for this right now. Sometime soon, there will be some genius who releases codes allowing you to unlock it without paying. (I think, be warned that my knowledge of what can be done with this stuff is very limited :p)

How can companies do this though? It makes the public opinion of them go down so much. If they keep doing things like this, they will soon be seen as the new Infinity Ward.

i do think though that some genius will in fact figure out a way to give codes out for free, or have some kind of access hack, But as for 2k games. This probably just saved them money and time putting the DL content on a disk.. for me it really doesn't matter haha

I think its good because less download time although i wont pay my £2.30 for it because its bollacks ill pay for extra maps or campaign levels or some form of co op but not crappy hats

Thats pointless, stupid and insulting if it's alredy on the disk then why should you have to pay extra for it when you alredy own it. All I can say is that this is just money grabbing.

Yeah, it's the same case for Modern Warfare 2, everything's on the disc.

So tell me if I'm getting this right

If the game has content that you have to spend money on, but you can do something to unlock it within itself, then how would the content not already be unlocked?

MW2 has stuff on the disc, can't somebody dissect the disc and say "lolwtf infinity ward?"
