Sony Computer Entertainment America boss Jack Tretton has confirmed that a third instalment in the Killzone series is in the works.
Speaking to Gametrailers during a PlayStation Move event at the Games Developers Conference (GDC), Tretton promised that Killzone 3 is definitely on the way.
Developed by Guerrilla Games, Killzone 2 enjoyed critical acclaim when it was released in February last year.
Tretton claimed that Sony has only unveiled the "frosting" for its 2010 release slate at GDC, but will "bring the heat" at the forthcoming E3 Expo in June.
When asked if that will include a full reveal for Killzone 3, Tretton said that Sony-owned Guerrilla did "a great job" with first two games in the series.

he added.
Tretton also declined to confirm plans for a full reveal of the forthcoming PS3-exclusive Agent, which is being developed by Rockstar Games.
