March 23, 2010 - Microsoft has confirmed the launch of a standalone 250GB hard drive for the Xbox 360 in North America. The drive is on sale starting today, according to the company. The upgraded hard drive will retail for $129.99.
Microsoft would not confirm the discontinuation of the 120GB hard drive, only saying the price has been reduced to $99.99 "while supplies last." Reports of short supply seem to suggest it may not be around much longer, however.
The upgraded hard drive was originally an exclusive pack-in for the Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 bundle. Japan was the first region to receive the standalone 250GB drive.
Well I think that Xbox is just trying to keep up with the competition because Sony made a 250GB Ps3.
I think Xbox will have to go big and beyond in order to keep up with Sony because they were talking about 3D gaming and the PlayStation Move I think before long Xbox will be a thing of the past.
(Just my personal thought. Tell me what think)
