After losing two of its co-founders last month, when Activision fired Vince Campella and Jason West, Infinity Ward is now without two more key developers of its Modern Warfare franchise, after Todd Alderman (Lead Designer) and Francesco Gigliotti (Lead Software Engineer) have decided to leave the company last week.
Both of them were long-time members of Infinity Ward’s staff as Alderman (heavily involved in Modern Warfare’s 2 multiplayer and story) has been with the company since January 2002 and Gigliotti since September 2002.

It seems that despite the fact that Activision is holding back Infinity Ward royalties in order to keep its staff from leaving, the Call of Duty developer is slowly losing its “core” members. It is not yet clear as to what went down that made Todd Alderman and Francesco Gigliotti to leave the company but, according to Kotaku’s sources, they both resigned.

The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package DLC has been launched on March 30 on Xbox Live, not without its problems. While this is supposed to be only the first Modern Warfare DLC, it remains to be seen if any of the old Infinity Ward members will be around when (and if) the second downloadable pack will be launched.
Probably in an attempt to make it up to those that encountered difficulties in playing the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Pack DLC, Microsoft has recently sent a message to those that purchased the DLC on day 1, announcing them that their Gold membership will be extended for seven more days.

According to this article, the Lead Designer and Lead Software Engineer decided to quit. It is unknown at this time why they quit.

Vbux are Worthless
I wouldn't blame them, even though the game was kind of a dud with all the hacking and what not it was still work and they deserve to get what the earned. MW2 sold millions of unit's and deserve millions of dollars in return.

I think they are quitting because they have realised that MW2 is gone now nothing else they can do . I personally play mw2 as i like it although there are soo many flaws there isnt much point in fixing it as its too late :/ although i still enjoy playing it on occasion so yea not a complete failure and i execpt somemore people to quit :/
