1. Favorite game gun from outside of the Call of Duty universe?

Robert Bowling: The Lincoln Repeater from Fallout 3. Something about one shot popping the heads off some Super Mutants with freedom bullets from Abraham Lincoln gets me giddy.

2. Favorite war movie?

RB: Star Wars. I mean, seriously...why is this even a question and not an assumption?

3. Which military organization in the world is the most bad-ass?

RB: There’s a reason we went with Taskforce units in Modern Warfare 2. These guys are made up of not only the most bad-ass U.S. forces, but combine it with the best multi-national forces around the world. Their experience is unmatchable.

4. If you could go back in time and meet any historical figure, who would it be?

RB: Andrew “Stonewall” Jackson. Soldier-to-public-figure personalities are some of the most interesting mentalities to me.

5. Favorite video game of all time (that you didn't work on)?

RB: Super Mario Bros. 3. It’s the one game that hasn’t lost any of its joy when I go back and play it. I have other games I remember fondly, but it’s the one that doesn’t suffer from reality when I put it back in -- simplistic fun at its finest.

6. Favorite gaming platform of all time?

RB: Super Nintendo. It was the start of my "every game has a redeeming quality" obsession, where I had to own every game simply to see what they did well, despite what they did wrong.

7. Favorite current TV show?

RB: COPS -- for life.

8. Favorite band or singer?

RB: NOFX.

9. Favorite loadout in Modern Warfare 2?

RB: For non-Hardcore [modes]: Scar-H with holographic sight, Spas-12 with red dot sight, Semtex, stun grenade x 2, Scavenger Pro, Cold-Blooded Pro, Ninja Pro.

For Hardcore: Scar-H with suppressor and holographic sight, Spas-12 with suppressor and grip, claymore, stun grenade x 2, Bling Pro, Cold-Blooded Pro, Ninja Pro. Silence is key!

10. If you could have any one piece of gear or weapon from Modern Warfare 2 to have in real life, what would it be?

RB: Tactical Insertion. I would place it in a White Castle and return anytime I need a sweet, sweet Crave Case.

11. Which locale in Modern Warfare 2 would you least like to visit?

RB: Cliffhanger. Something about scaling a mountain in the blinding snow doesn’t sound appealing to me in real life. Rio is more my style.

12. Website you visit every day?

RB: Twitter.com (@fourzerotwo)

13. Developer or studio you really admire?

RB: Criterion Games (Burnout series). I love their games, design philosophy, and especially the amount of support they did with Burnout Paradise on such a massive scale. I’m always impressed with the Criterion team.

14. Favorite Modern Warfare 2 map (Stimulus Pack included)?

RB: Crash -- it was one of my favorite Call of Duty 4 maps, and with it being added to Modern Warfare 2, it instantly became my favorite MW2 map. Something about the balance of that map is perfection to me.

15. If you were in a real-life Spec Ops mission, who would be your partner?

RB: Batman. World’s greatest detective and proven loyal partner.

What? Batman isn’t real? Irrelevant -- or at the very least, debatable.

16. Favorite sports team?

RB: The Northern Kentucky Adult (18-35) Dodgeball Team. Because we were awesome in our prime!

17. Favorite comic-book superhero?

RB: Batman – haven’t we been over this? World’s. Greatest. Detective. Not to mention he has some of the all-time best archenemies in comics.

18. Tell us one interesting fact about yourself.

RB: I’ve worked, in one capacity or another, in every entertainment field possible. My favorite was being editor-in-chief of an independent music magazine. Simply because we funded and created the entire project ourselves (two-man team) without any previous knowledge of the industry. Issue #1 was a (critically speaking) disaster but a beautiful disaster I’ll never forget.

19. What pieces of media did you and your team have to soak up to get Modern Warfare 2's vibe down?

RB: The team at Infinity Ward is made up of media junkies and really soak in every type of media. Most importantly, they’re playing games, watching movies, reading novels from every genre. The diversity in our reference folder is some of the widest I’ve ever seen.

20. Who wins in a bar fight? Sergeant Gary “Roach” Sanderson, Captain John “Soap” MacTavish, or Captain John Price?

RB: Hands down, Captain Price. He’s literally taught the rest everything they know.

21. Are you a part of the Mile High Club?

RB: The first ever, actually. It was my goal to be the first person in the world to have a full 1,000 points on Call of Duty 4 on the final version of the game, which included getting The Mile High Club Achievement. Proudest Achievement of my life.

I've hi-lighted the answers I was particularly interested in. I think his class setup might get a few comments, my guess being 'SCAR NOOOB'. And lets face it, we all knew Price could take down Soap Winky Winky

To and fro the island.
Robert Bowling is without a doubt one of the sole Infinity Ward developers I have any respect for at this time. Despite my vague memory of him ignoring HSx9's warning concerning the uprising hacks, I do think he genuinely cares about the franchise, and is overall involved in his work.

For instance, I have yet to see other Infinity Ward managers who are as responsive as him via Twitter, and who are actually involved in the online multiplayer experience, making friends and having a blast.

Trailing back on topic, I found it somewhat funny to see his favorite game and game console. I do see where he's coming from though. After playing so many FPS titles, it really does make you appreciate the simplicity and innocence of games like Mario.

To finish off this post, I never doubted the fact that Captain Price could take down Soap and / or Roach. By far my favorite character from the Call of Duty series.
