After several rumours, Ubisoft has confirmed the 3rd Assassin's Creed game to be entitled Brotherhood. A website was recently registered under AssassinsCreedBrotherhood.com, and the image above was found today.
The biggest news is probably the return of Ezio, and not a new assassin, but unless you have amazing eye sight, here is the blurb on the back of the game cover, in the image above:

When Ubisoft were asked if this was indeed real, a representative responded with "Ubisoft confirms the authenticity of this image and will provide more information next week." Personally I think this is great news, as AC2 was one of the best games I've played in a long time, so I'm really looking forward to this. More information to come soon.[/B]

That's great news, indeed! While I didn't always consider myself a big Assassin's Creed fan, after a friend and I played through a majority of Assassin's Creed II one night, I realized how interesting of a series it really was. While I always knew it was a good series, it didn't always seem right for me. That partially had to due with some real life issues going on with me during that time, though.
Originally I was worried that a third installment to this exciting series would project a nearly identical experience to Assassin's Creed II, being the beginning of another repetitious series. From the description on the back cover, however, it seems that they are taking a new approach to the game, making you a leader of a sort, which is great. I think, considering the quality of the series, they will really make great use out of the new circumstances of which the game is to have. I can't see them completely ruining this concept of you being somewhat a leader of a group of assassins.
Also, it'll be very interesting to see how they set up the multiplayer mode. I have utmost confidence in Ubisoft to do it well, but it's something that is hard for me to imagine.
