Hi, Ive noticed over the weeks/months people are still undecided over buying BFBC2. I'm hoping that i can clear things up. Feel free to suggest points for this thread so we can help people make the right decision!

Here are some points that you must take into consideration:

-BFBC2 is not the same as MW2 where you jump in and "just shoot"
-You have to work your way up
-Long and rewarding campaign - very good
-Greater freedom than mw2 - as you can drive tanks,helicopters,UAV etc.
-VIP Limited Edition games get free maps for life and some early unlocks
-If you've owned previous BF games, you may be entitled to the M1 Garand
-Huge maps
-99.9% destructible environment
-Its really rewarding as you don't have to do the same thing every time you play, for example you can be a tank gunner or a medic healing people, but you all still get points respectively. For me, i love this, as if I'm doing a A++ job as a medic, i can equal the score of mr. top gun - witch is also me...
-It takes time to learn to fly helicopters - don't expect to jump into them right away
-You must work as a team
-A LOT of fun (and rape(age)) if you get a squad of buddies together
-You can not go prone, but the way the scenery and maps are designed, it makes no difference
-Everyone's nicer in BF compared to MW2, no "freakouts"
-Personally BF is my favorite game series (and still play Battlefield 2, witch in my opinion is one of the best games ever made) - it/they have that lasting effect.
-You might hate it/love this game but this is the real Battlefield, not everyone just goes out and shoots

Great game in every aspect

I love this game but I wish the devs listened to their players a bit more. For example many people want the M14 to be fixed in terms of it being able to put optics on and have the 20 round clip, but more people just care about the optics, the clip is fine for now.

im starting to prefer playing with my mates on bfbc2 than mw2 its alot easier to dominate if you have a good squad I LOVE VSS RED DOT!!!!!

It seems that if you live on the east coast of the US and play multiplayer, you will have lag. Been happening all the time over the past two months. These boards do not focus on the issue, so you guys are lucky, but if you hop over to EA's boards youll see what I mean.

I wish as well they added a "universal mount" so you can put a scope on the M1 or M14 at the cost of magnum ammo etc. That would really add some fun gun / sight combos... Its too bad they've stopped listening like they used to in BF2...

Long campaign? its 12 missions.
Free maps for Vip. True but the new DLCs cost money.
Rewarding. No it isn't. Dice is selling the guns in their DLCs

1) The campaign is long relative to whats being released in current mass market shooters.
- don't make em like Half Life...
2)At the time of writing they were going to be free. At least you get SOME free stuff.
3)Yes, kind of lame - they will never get the veteran status though M1 FTW
