After I posted information on a possible PSN Premium service to be revealed at E3 in L.A later this Summer, Joystiq has today posted it's own details from their own sources on what the possible PSN Premium service could involve, and how much it will cost. They say the service will "will focus on giving paid subscribers additional bonuses without limiting online multiplayer between paying and non-paying users."

Rumored features for the Premium Service include:

Access to a rotating list of PSP Minis and PSone Classics.

Exclusive in-game DLC.

Discounts to the PlayStation Store.

First Hour' demo access to full retail titles.

A PlayStation Protection Plan.

Cross-game chat.

Auto-patching for recently played games.

Although the site doesn't know an exact price, they have sources which claim the service to be around $9.99 a month, which seems very high after first estimates of less than £50 per year. European rumours have tended to focus on a music streaming service, whereas US rumours talk of a more game-focused approach. If it's true and reliable, this is great news for the ps3 system.

Can't wait.

Hey as you can see I am on Xbox, But I thought you go this anyway, why would Sony not have cross-game chatting? and as for auot-patching, (im guessing for game's) this sould be there as well.

As for the price IF it is going to be that high, I don't see many people paying for it, I'm on Xbox Live, the £40 a year I have to pay is at it's limit.

This is the cost break down for the UK side of thing, as you can see the prises will change as I did the coverter at XE.com

Xbox Live

For the year:
£39.99 / $59.87
A month:
£3.33 / $4.98

PSN Premium
£80.10 / $119.88
A month:
£6.67 / $9.99

That to me is a lot, so I feel the price would be way to high, and Sony isn't offering much more to it's premium member's than Xbox live give's it's live member's now.

I hope Sony do not charge this price for it's premium member's, cos this is just wrong
