It is actually quite easy to get veteran on BC2 if you have the game.

Simply go to You must login or register to view this content. and go to the veteran tab to verify BC2.

Next, go to You must login or register to view this content. . When you hit register, do not register. Login using your EA details on the "Already have an EA account" box.

Go back to You must login or register to view this content. and check to see if battlefield heroes was verified.

You should now have unlocked a 'white box' next to you name online and unlocked the M1 Garand, which is actually quite a good gun.

NOTE: They have changed this process Now you must reach level 10 in Battlefield Heroes to get it counted towards Veteran.

I downloaded it and played it till lvl 5 and played the tut and it still hasnt raised my vet status. right now im lvl 1 (Bf1943), never went to lvl 2. Am i supposed to reach a certain lvl?

I'm veteran 2 but because I played 1943, BFBC and BFBC2. I played Heroes it hasn't been detected yet on the veterans page. I read you need to reach atleast a rank of 1 I believe. You can also play PC demos of BF like BF2 and 2142 and those will raise your vet rank. I'm going to do those later.

You don't even have to play the game. As long as you have an account it will work. Sometimes it glitches though, my friend's account isn't counting BF heroes, but mine is.

I asked an admin and he said you have to reach lvl 10 for it to count towards veteran status.

Yeah, I got the veteran status before I even downloaded the game

I'm sure too many people got vet for free so they fixed that.
