Currently, 'Kinect', previously known as Natal, is the hot topic for Microsoft. While some people are eager to get their hands on the gadget, more traditional gamers are beginning to worry that their way of gaming is coming to an end. Luckily for such gamers, that is not the case. Or at least that's what Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg has said:

Greenberg also went on to talk about why Kinect is not going to be like the Wii, that quickly drew away traditional and hardcore gamers around the world. According to him, Kinect will still attract core gamers. He also stressed that it will not be an experience forced on Xbox gamers.

It's definitely good to see that Microsoft is not "forcing" the experience. Kinect will definitely attract many, but for those of us who still just want to sit on the couch and game like we always have, then that's how we can game.

Greenberg ended in saying this:

"I think that will drive a lot of interest for current owners as a thing you get on top of what you already have. And for a broader, more casual user, it's a way they can now experience and play without having to learn to use a controller. It sees you. It hears you. It recognizes your body. It allows you to play naturally without ever having played a game before."

I question whether or not the above statement concerning "being able to play naturally even without playing a game before". Such things were said when the Wii released, and yet many people had more difficulty using the Wii than they did using controllers. It'd be great if Kinect actually was a more fluent and natural experience, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Kinect? WTF kind of name is that? I think they should just leave it at Natal so that people will still know what it is
