Earlier today, at the E3 2010 Microsoft Press Conference, Microsoft made a move that shocked the audience. This move is now being referred to as someone of an "Oprah effect". So, what did Microsoft do? Like when Oprah gave away 200 brand new cars, Microsoft gave away newly modeled Xbox 360's to everyone in the audience. For a moment, the entire audience was still, not believing what they had just heard. It wasn't long before everyone was standing and clapping at the exciting news.

Sure, you can call it a bribe, as many people are. Even then, it is without any need to say that what Microsoft did was generous, and that is got them quite a bit of a reputation boost at the same time.

Sony, being Microsoft's closest competitor on the gaming market, will likely retaliate with some generosity of their own. What will they do? How will they make it better than Microsoft's "Oprah effect"? Perhaps they didn't have anything like that planned... But if that is true, we can be sure of one thing: Their plans just changed.

I don't know why this is so shocking microsoft likes buying customers,
And like mentioned above the audience was filled with press & microsoft
is a master of media manipulation.

The xbox looks nice now though to bad the controllers are still the same
or I would probably get one.

I have a strong feeling either this is going to happen

1.Sony is going to give up
2. or Sony is going to succeed and make a wonderful console of their own.
