Today I have had the opportunity to interview NGU's very own, super moderator, rjive!
Great community member, helped me out way too many times, worked his way up the ranks, an all round great member.So let the interview commence.....
Winty: How old are you?
rjive: I'm 106 in NGU years, but 28 in human years.
Winty: Where do you hail from?
rjive: I live in Sacramento, California. Here is google streetview of my house. This was taken in the winter so looks a little bare. I could take a pic now, but that'd be too smart.

Winty: What brought you to NGU?
rjive: Originally came to NGU to find glitches. Ended up staying because this is one of the best communities I've participated in. I truly like just about everyone on the site.
Winty: I agree with you there same thing with me, so what is your favourite food?
rjive: Chocolate Chip Cookies. Those have to be my favorite. Real food, I'm a cheese burger guru. I love cereal as well. I think we've had a few conversations on why Fruit Loops with Marshmellows are the best cereal ever made. (I don't want to hear it Shep, no one cares about Krave. lol <3)
Winty: I am with Shep on this one though
Krave does = WIN! so what are your hobbies and interests?rjive: Obviously video games. We're all a little nerdy here. Beyond that, I like video editing, photography, and playing guitar like a boss
Winty: Nice, what is your favourite music?
rjive: I'm all over the board. I like reggae, alternative rock, indie rock, some rap & hip hop. Everything from Bob Marley to Kool and the Gang. Playing on my ipod now... Buju Banton.
Winty: What are your favourite movies/tv shows?
rjive: I'm old school with this shit. My favorite movie of all time is Top Gun. We all wanted to be Maverick back then. As for TV shows, I'm a Seinfeld buff.
Winty: Cool, might have to watch those, as never heard of them, so what a few people would like to know, what is your favourite aspect of NGU?
rjive: This is a hard question to answer. It boils down to the relationships I've developed here. I feel close to a lot of you guys even though we've never met in person. I guess the bottom line is community for me.
Winty: What is the best part about being staff?
rjive: Another tough question to field. The best part for me is helping people. I like to be a champion for reasonable and responsible action and development of the site. It's funny, everyone thinks being staff is such a hot thing. It's really a lot of work. You just see us in the box, but we're always viewing the forums. I spend three times the amount of time on the site since becoming staff. My wife jokes that I'm always on NGU. It's true.
Winty: Your favourite game of all time then?
rjive: My favorite game of all time is COD4. It's a classic and really the one that hooked me into playing.
Winty: Yes, I would have to agree, COD4 really got me into gaming and was an epic game and still is, now for the question every wants to know.... what is your favourite colour?
rjive: I think technically it's a shade. Gray.
Winty: Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
rjive: Wow, didn't expect that one. let me think 5 years, I'd like to be trading full time and living in South Florida. Additionally I'd like to complete my Certified Financial Planner designation.
Winty: Nice sounds like a plan, got your sets sight on something which is good to see, let me think..... what is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you?
rjive: Back in my youth days... I would do a lot of crazy stuff. One time I asked my girlfriend to a high school dance by standing in my boxers outside her work holding a sign asking her to the dance. I guess that's it.
Winty: Any interesting facts about you?
rjive: I'm married, two step children and my wife's a MILF. I have a three dogs. Can't think of anything else to share here.
Winty: Sounds great, anything else, you would like to mention?
rjive: I really hope that I add value to the site as staff. I'm always available for all members to help. Feel free to PM me, instant message me, text me, knock on my door... Whatever. I'm here for you guys!! <3 ya NGU!!!
Winty: You do don't worry about that, I am sure everyone would agree, so you heard the guy feel free to ask him questions he is a very good guy and willing to help. I could sit and talk to this guy all day, and ask him alot more questions. Thanks for your time, and nice to give share some of your thoughts, opinions and views to the community.

Role model - My grandfather. He's actually more of a father than my own. He's the first one to roll up his sleeves and get to the grim, grease and problem. He's a great man. He can't beat me in golf yet, I got his mental game whooped.
Best moment - Hard to say. Comes down to two really. First is a personal moment... the marriage to my wife. Awesome day. She's my absolute best friend and the only person who doesn't judge me when I'm at my weakest.
Best career moment - When I passed my Series 7 General Securities Exam. That thing was a bitch.
Best day - Wedding day, hands down.

Shep - I always try to look at things through optimistic glasses. Things get on my nerves, people annoy me, but I just turn the other cheek. Sometimes that's what a little age can give ya... you pick your battles.
I try and live by the "pay it forward" philosophy. I look at it like this... if I;m the new guy who just registered, I'd want the super to talk to me. Or if I'm in need, I'd want someone to help me out. Just pay it forward. Learned from some of the OGs on the site...
