Winty: So first off the bog standard question, where is Gobble from?

Gobble: Well a lot of the regs know this, just to give me the stick everytime I come in the Shoutbox, but I'm from the Sunny City of Leeds

Winty: Nice to hear, I am not far from you there being from York :-) so NGU, how did you come about entering the community?

Gobble: Well it came because I'd come back from Aus, had nothing to do all day, so started playing on CoD again. I'm minding my own business trying to snipe some n00b and I got shot from under a map.... Can you believe that s**t? So, I decided I was going to find out how he'd done it, got on YouTube and after watching a few videos I find myself on Outsiders page and seeing it on other pages too, signed up and here I am.

Winty: Wow, interesting to know and now look at you, one of the guys in red, did you think it would come to that?

Gobble: Never! When I came to the site, it was like most. See what it's all about, but mainly to leech some information. It was a few months before I even looked at the shoutbox!

Winty: Haha, what made you stick by the site then?

Gobble: The people mainly! The likes of Como, Chris, Fletch, Luke, Sert and so on... The site was quite different then. We all used to come in, have some banter, help some people here and there and I slowly found myself becoming addicted.

Winty: Very nice, first english admin I believe, how did it feel?

Gobble: With every promotion so to speak, there is a sense of "wow, I'm so cool", but really it was more about 'ok, let's buckle down and get on with making this site better then it already is'.

Winty: I like your thinking, and yes promotions are amazing, so what do you love about your job on NGU?

Gobble: Well the community has grown so much since I first got my hands into the staff side of things. As an Admin, I have to look at things quite differently to most, sometimes put my "General Gobz" head on, but I've always been a people guy, so I love helping people with things, helping move the site (e.g The Home Page) and to follow as soon after as we can, a Ladder type system. We have a great team of Staff and a great community, so to be a part of it at the top is nice. I love you guys I do have one pet hate though... Name changes

Winty: Nice, great to hear from you and you beat me to it as to whether there are any downsides, so gaming, I see you on PS3 a lot, so what do you like to play and what are your favourite games?

Gobble: Well I love CoD. It's a bit like a women to me, in that sometimes I love it and other times I want to throw it out of a window Aha I've recently been playing Red Dead. I like being a bit of a nob tbh. Something about shooting a guy and then dragging his cart all the way back to the start of a mine makes you laugh!

Winty: Haha, I would have to agree with you on the CoD saying, although I havn't played RDR yet, so what do you do in your time not on the site?

Gobble: Well, as many know.. Gobz likes a good drink and most Weekends I spend 1 day off it and the next 2 wondering what I did on the first one. I'm not all drinking and partying (ahem), I do try to get to the gym when I can, I can't fault a good night of Poker. I also DJ, although not as much recently.

Winty: Okay cool, sounds fun, so how would you describe yourself?

Gobble: A complete idiot, bit of a geek, charmer at times, beer drinking, yorkshire lad! I do have a serious side though, but I prefer not to get it out all the time.

Winty: Sound and you seem like a nice guy as far as I am aware, so your best memories of NGU would be what?

Gobble: I don't say this in jest, but there's been so many it's hard to chose, but one time that really stuck in my mind was "Ye ol' Body builders Day". Como and me were in the Shoutbox and in pops this guy, he's having some banter with us and he started on about these two twins he'd had in his car that day.... Now I don't know what came over me. Maybe it was jealousy, maybe it was the sheer lulz, but something made me edit his shout and change "twins", to bodybuilders! Como and me were literally in tears of laughter at this lad as he'd actually thought he'd wrote bodybuilders. It kept on for some time before he clocked on, but it really was a funny day.

Then I had to unfortunately go for my tea and he was gone when I came back But it then continued on tonight....


Gobble: Remind me where we were.

Winty: You were telling me about your favourite/memorable moments of your time on NGU, so you talked about the one with Como got any others to share?

Gobble: Have you got all that down about body builders?

Winty: Haha, yes so any others that stick out?

Gobble: Erm... well that was the best one. There's been loads of times where there's been some laughs in the shoutbox, but that one is my baby

Winty: Haha that's fine so that was your best, what about the worst?

Gobble: The worst time(s) have been when we get people who leave that can't face being forgotten about. We've had so many now it's unreal, the Bio's, Dezireds of the forum. I once had to ban 30 accounts in an hour from one guy. You'd think these people would learn how not to use the same IP....... Oh erm... don't do that btw

Winty: Damn that's a bit sad on his part, and no worries I sure won't be doing that ;-) so what are your hobbies and interests? (if I havn't already asked that)

Gobble: Already asked, You're FIRED =D

Winty: :cry: my bad haha, so music, you DJ but do you like other types of music?

Gobble: I love most types of music really. I can't stand any of that Happy hardcore crap, or Dan Demented's scream down a mic stuff. I have much love for Pendulum! I swear to god there stuff just keeps on getting better.

Winty: Yes, I have recently got into Pendulum which I also think is very good music :-) so where does Gobble see himself in 10 years time to regards both the site and real life?

Gobble: I'll start with me. I've been doing Networking/Systems stuff for quite some time now, so I think my next step would be management. I look at my boss sitting in his thrown and I think... If that was my office, there'd be a golf putting green and a basketball net bin. Between now and then though, I still have a lot to see in the world, so I think in a years time I will be packing my bags and heading off around Asia, NZ and maybe get the US if I'm not skint or in jail So watch America! As for the site, with such a large user base and untapped potential, I'd love to see and hope to help in bringing the site to a new level. I think it's fair to say that, we took the glitching forum, we ran with it and we're mountains above the rest, but there's much more, MUCH more to be coming. The homepage brings so many new elements for you guys yet to see, with a community area (like your facebooks/myspaces) and we have a lot more to come. There's plenty of branches we may take the site, with gaming Ladders etc, but damn it, 10 years time this site will own the world. Then I can finally take my seat as king of the internet...... Don't worry, I have Outsider locked in my basement.

Winty: Haha, great plan as far as life is concerned :-) and for NGU, I can't wait for the homepage and what the future holds, no doubt it will carry on being the biggest and best gaming communtiy ever! and King, now that would be cool. I don't think outie will agree with that ;-) so Cal, would like to know, would you make him admin tomorrow?

Gobble: Is it wrong to answer a question with a question? If he was to have a fight with Willow - naked and covered in Jam, then I would pull some strings! Is that a Deal Cal? aha

Winty: Haha, love it! will love to see what he puts :L so members on NGU are generally great, but you must have some favourites?

Gobble: Oooh, now there's pulling out a question! I have guys I speak to more often, even outside of the site! I once rang Como at 2 while weeing in the middle of the road shouting at some people haha. Really though, I love most of the guys, that is what makes it such a great place to admin. I like to think of it, as my nGu Family.

Winty: Haha the best way to answer :-) and yes, you and Como seem pretty good pals, so the name Gobble, explain?

Gobble: Well, I was sat watching South Park, which btw, is the best thing on TV ever.... Then on came Timmy, the local retardation and I'm getting the usual lulz, but then he had this Turkey called Gobbles! I mean.. I couldn't stop laughing when this retarded turkey walks through a ring of fire, so I had to have it as my psn! Btw, you can get a pic of it if you google
