---------------------------------------------

Alright, so it has come to our knowledge that the Halo: Reach Legendary Edition includes extra content and collectibles. Content and collectibles such as armor permutations if you pre-order, an exclusive armor effect, and a cool-ass statue of Noble Six, among other things.

I figured I'd make an attempt to explain everything with as much detail as possible, so we know what is what. I couldn't find a thread like this, besides MBO's news thread, which contains a nice bit of information itself. Anyone interested in the Legendary edition should view his thread, as well.

  • Exclusive Spartan Armor Effect - it is rumored (perhaps confirmed) to be the same flame-effect as the one the Bungie staff possess in Halo 3's multiplayer.

  • Pre-order Exclusive Armor Permutations - this includes a Recon helmet, with a Visor and Blast Shield. It is usable in the Campaign and multiplayer modes, which leads me to wonder if it means in Firefight 2.0 and Co-op, but not the full multiplayer experience.

There is also the UA Multi-Threat Mjolnir Mark V(B) Armor, which is light yet resilient. It's a chestpiece and what looks like an ammunition belt of some sort.

  • Noble Six Statue - a statue of the Noble Six team. Crafted by Macfarlane Toys, it looks beautifully detailed. The figures were individually crafted and painted by expert artisans.

  • Custom In-game Elite Armor - I could not locate much information about the Elite armor, only its appearance and the fact that it's worn by the highest-ranking of the Elites.

  • Artifact Bag - the bag contains the personal notes (a notebook, to be precise) of Dr. Catherine Halsey, as well as her ONI Security Badge. Perhaps it'll answer all of our questions that we've had about the Halo universe?

  • Dr. Halsey's ONI Security Badge - I guess the only thing to say about this is that it's a replica of Halsey's security badge. Perhaps it possesses some secret code or something on it for extra content? Only time will tell.

  • Spartan II Patch - an embroidered patch that bares the Spartan II insignia. There's nothing else to really explain about it, seems like it's something cool to have.

  • Custom Case and Packaging - the packaging is modeled after an ONI 'Black Box'. And the case is themed after a UNSC case. Hopefully the case won't ruin the CD, as the cases for Gears of War II and Halo 3 special editions have.

---------------------------------------------

The Limited Edition comes with the in-game Elite Armor, Artifact Bag, Security Badge, and the embroidered Spartan II patch, as well as the same pre-order bonuses. The regular edition only comes with the pre-order bonuses. Me, being the person I am, would hate to miss out on getting all this exclusive content, so I'm probably going to purchase the Legendary Edition myself. Dx

If anyone knows anything about the Legendary Edition that I've missed, please tell me. I will edit the post and credit you, accordingly.

Please note, that my intentions of posting this thread are different from MBO's, he posted a great piece about its release and content, and I'm simply posting about what is what and what I predict some things might be.

The images and information come from Destructoid.com and GameStop.com, but I managed to come up with some info from simply browsing the web, as well. MBO's thread nabbed me some nice info as well, thanks mate.

If someone who gets the Legendary Edition will sell them to you. ):

I will be getting the Limited edition. The legendary seems like so much money, for such little expansions. Some in game armor, and a statue? Not enough for me to spend that much money.
