still the same OG, but I've been low key

This is our first peek of GoW3 and really hooked me. The characters look battle-torn and worn, but willing to leave it all on the line for humanity. The game is set 18 months after the events of Gears of War 2, yet I can't get over how different dom looks. They've introduced vintage weapons such as the regular bayonet (non-chainsaw).

To learn just about everything in that trailer:

They do a great analysis and I'm eager to see them go through more upcoming trailers. I can't say much more on that trailer as they do quite a job covering it.

Same mechanics as the prior GoW games, however the battle fields in which you control your character are much different. You can notice how it is much more open, forest like and withered. More of an apocalyptic shooter than ever before. Introducing the new Lambent creatures which can upgrade regular locust into killing machines is brilliant.

DLC plans:

Epic design chief, Cliff Bleszinski, says that GoW3 will definitely have down loadable content. He said he’d like to “do something completely crazy” with add-on content, and is apparently “a fan of DLC that takes risks.” I'm excited for epic to surprise us. They've done winter maps and flashbacks, but I'm expecting something even bigger. Hopefully Call of Duty can learn from them.

He said: “I think the DLC that’s been the biggest success in the past have been the ones that have been consistent, like every so many months, like Borderlands or Fallout.

“And they also play with the formula a little bit, you know – like Fallout adding in giant robots and UFOs, that doesn’t feel like it was on the cutting-room floor.”

I'm glad to see he realizes what works and let's keep our hope up that he sees one of the most popular DLC packs revolves around zombies. I'd like to see zombies running at me in horde mode, not just locust.

New take on an old logo:

The black seems to fade across the skull. It's quite eerie and provides an infected feel to it.

Lady gamers unite:

L4D has Zoey, Resident evil has Jill Valentine, and mario has peach.
Now, it's time to introduce the newest female character to hit a blockbuster series. Anya Stroud, not yet confirmed name.

Thank you for taking the time to go through this, just trying to put together some stuff to raise awareness of GoW 3.Smile. I'll be waiting eagerly until April, how about you guys?
