So the Sony GamesCon expo. press conference is taking place today in Cologne, Germany from noon until 2:00 PM E.T and conveniently Sony's PlayStation Network service will be down for un-scheduled "maintenace".
During the time that the PlayStation Network is down users will not be able to sync or compare Trophies. You also won't be able to view your own Trophy data, so don’t get too concerned if you log on and notice you can’t see your Trophies. This is standard maintenance, so don’t expect any major changes when Trophy service becomes available again.
There's no doubt that Sony's got a handful of major announcements lined up for the event, revised console or no, and we shouldn't be surprised if the online store played into that somehow. Of course, the timing of the maintenance could all be some big coincidence, but if you ask me, the chances of that are pretty slim. If we're really lucky, maybe Howard Stringer will come out and explain that laughter-tracking patent.
Well, looks like a day of nothing but boozing for me .
