A hacker on YouTube has claimed that he is testing the worlds first PS3 mod-chip. According to the hacker, the games can be loaded off an external memory device, and it supports all firmwares. He points out that it is still in testing stages, but nothing has been proved as of yet.

Well, I've seen people who could get games for free without the discs. However, that was only modding the software, this would basically be a jailbreak, but inside a chip which doesn't mod any software kinda thing? If so, this is pretty awesome.
However, the stuff provided COULD be fake as a friend of a friend has jailbroken his PS3 and can download practically anything (he even had Windows 7 on there for a while!)
