A Treyarch Spokesman said on the Black Ops official site:



For those of you who are unsure, Mod Tools is a computer program which will allow PC users to create their own version of the game. It allows them to change out models, weapons, effects, characters, and even create an entire level.

This announcement will be much welcomed in the Call of Duty PC community, who were annoyed at Infinity Ward's decision not to allow for modding in Modern Warfare 2.

RedKnight adds: Just so you know, 'Mod Tools' means Developer Kit. Basically zombie mods in multiplayer, promod, other cool modded gametypes, extra maps and custom levels, weaponry and equipment in certain servers.

Yep, modding is more than possible. Some guy in the pc modding scene called supernovaao invited me to his hacked and modded wager server. The game mode was a mix of sticks and stones and gun game. You'd start with a tomahawk, get 3 kills with it, get ballistics, 3 kills then crossbow. And then you'd get a Huey and kill everyone (:mudkip:
And you'd also get lvl 50 in 1 kill. I'm lvl 50 prestige 15 on pc. ( I did 3 prestiges legit.)

Can't wait to see something like this for the Shitbox360 and the suckstation 3 (jk, like boTh consoles)
