Earlier today Sony unveiled on the official PlayStation Blog that they're going to be releasing a new program called PlayStation Rewards, that recognizes and rewards PlayStation users for playing games and interacting with their entertainment content. The purpose of this is to reward their users for using the services regularly.
The program launches tomorrow (October 28th) in an invitation-only beta to all eligible PlayStation Plus and Gamer Advisory Panel members. They're hoping to get feedback from the community, so to truly discover how they should reward their users for loyalty.
The loyalty program has been designed to give users the opportunity to gain exclusive status, recognition and rewards. PlayStation users will not be required to pay extra fees or sign up to the program, they simply have to keep playing games, buying content purchased from PlayStation Network in the PlayStation Store and PlayStation Home, download movies and TV shows, or just communicate with Sony by taking one of their surveys, for example.
There will be three reward tiers - 'Select', 'Pro' and 'Legendary'. As the users' status increases, so do the rewards.

im not on the PS anymore but thats a pretty cool thing but to me it seems like this will get alot of people to spend their money on PS store things 1st they bring and optional preimum service now basically the more stuff you buy you will get reconized for it if Sony needs money to bring in new things why not just say it instead of comming up with crazy things but still i wish 360 reconized people for just paying them every year not to metion all the other stuff people pay them for over thier 360's

i actually got in the beta last night. there is alot in works right now. trust me there is some serious perk about to be given to ps+reward members.
