Microsoft released the updated dashboard, the 'Kinect dashboard', yesterday, and one of their biggest features which wasn't announced was the implementation of Anti-Piracy 2.5 or AP25.

The software checks the backup disc to ensure it is authentic. The first 2 games which will be utilizing this software are Fable 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops.

AP25 will affect systems with later version Hitachi drives , BENQ, as well as the Lite-ON drives. Al Samsung drives are incapable of reading the new Security Sector v3 (requirement for AP25) which in turn required Microsoft to turn off AP25 checks on any systems with Samsung disc drives.

umm i call bs on black ops having ap25 due to the fact B.O started being made on sept 25 or 29 one of those 2. the only game that has ap25 is fable. i have a modded 360 with a benq and the update dash and guess what nothing has happen all my games work just fine with no problem havent gotten flag or even heard or anyone getting flagged or banned. i believe all future games with microsoft will have the ap25 which is worthless due to the fact that C4EVA has already cracked it and the firmware LT+ should be release to the public anywhere from less than a month up to 2 months depending on certian things. basicly the new firmware will trick your drive into its a old samsung drive due to the fact that the old samsung drives cant have the ap25 check
