It seemed as though all was good for Call of Duty fans upon the release of Black Ops. Gamers worldwide had been anticipating the release for some time, all very eager to get playing and leveling once again in a race to the top. However, players across the globe have been expressing their distaste for the game in a wide variety of aspects; and they're not hesitating to be heard this time.
Gamers are bringing up things from the game's graphics and story-line, to the inconsistent performance and unavoidable multiplayer lag.
Have Treyarch failed utterly with this installment? Give us your thoughts in the poll above.

YES they FAILED.
The only freakin reason i buy call of duty games is for a good multiplayer experience, which IW has delivered in both Cod4 and Mw2 which i both own and have over 30 days played on in online play.
3arch's crap lags. the spawns are horrible. they took away the beloved quick scoping(well, theyre trying sorta). I really find it hard to play online in the core matches with the bad spawns.
On the other hand though the wager matches are creative and fun. But please fix the lag.

No, they have not failed...
1. The graphics are lower than usual but honestly is it the ****ing graphics that cause enjoyment? NO it's gameplay which Black Ops(IMO) makes up for.
2. Storyline is amazing, but too confusing for special kids. I personally think this is just a reason for kunts to bitch...
3.The lag will be fixed, and can't we all remember when MW2's servers went down for a full ass day?!?!?!?
All in all, black ops has not disappointed me and is currently the best installment in the Call of Duty franchise.

Chopper gunner i get killed with 2-3 bullets.
So i also agree it's overpowered.

They did good on the game itself, but they need to fix the lag and bugs. Gameplay otherwise is pretty fun.

wow..in mw2 the bullets made damage for just being near :| also it can be shot down easily. And most importantly you just only get kills nothing else like a nuke/facepalm

I wouldn't call it a fail , but they do have lots of issues to fix.
It's better than world at war that's for sure. They did include a ton of neat stuff like videos and stats for everything.
I beat the game in 2 days playing on and off and im going to prestige online possibly by wed. The spawns suck sometimes and they need to make it where you vote for the same map more than once. I only have been playing domination and when nuke town comes around it usually stays every round due to votes. I guess because it's easy kills for ranking up.
It's nice to play something new but I still like MW2 better since it don't lag out all the time.

I only have one gripe with the game, and that's the fact that offline splitscreen with more than 2 people lags, as if the game isn't made for more than 2 people offline.
Other than that and a few crappy spawns and spotty hit detection, I can't find anything to bitch about.
The campaign was my favorite out of the 4 CoDs I have played (4, WaW, MW2, and BO) and I think it has the greatest twist EVER.
Zombies has returned with 2 new maps (and the intro to the second zombie map is hilarious) and new features.
Online multiplayer is very addictive, the level of customization is awesome, and the theater mode was a very nice touch.

1) The story mode is great, people just bitch about things too easily.
2) The offline game play [Besides story mode] I have not played but heard good things about it.
3) The fact that you can have 2 players for online play is awesome. I myself have not used it, but have seen many guys use it, plus its a great way to get kills xD.
4) The lag is a bitch at times. A simple patch should fix that. As stated above do we not all remember 11/11/09 when MW2 came out and for 8 hours the PS3 servers were down?
5) The boosters. I would like to see Treyarch do more about the "Major Boosters". Not the little ones, but the big ones who are on the top of the leader boards.
6) The graphics could be improved but for the most part the graphics are fine for me. The fact they made it 3D ready is amazing [Lucky for those who have a 3D TV].
7) The bullet to kill ratio is kinda gay. I was playing search and destroy I put a clip of Ak-47 into him he kills me first is bullshit, things happen.
8/ No matter what people are going to find something to bitch about. If it isn't the killstreaks its the weapons.
9) The game has been out for 5 days don't get your panties all up in a bunch yet.
They listen to us and have showed that with W@W so I believe they will listen to us and fix the things that need to be fixed. For now just stop the bitching xD.
P.S. The game has pissed me off, just today I broke my controller over Nuke Town spawn killing. /i know first person just keep calm and play it.
