Diablo III is something that console-based gamers have only dreamed of in the past. Myself being a primarily console based gamer throughout most of my gaming life, I've heard plenty of things regarding the series as my computer game-based friends raved and raved about the greatness that is Diablo. It seems that the console gaming community might just have a chance to determine this for themselves, as Diablo III may be coming to consoles.

We are led to infer that Diablo III will be coming to consoles because of three interesting job openings on Blizzard's career page: Lead Programmer (console), Lead Designer (console), and Senior Producer (console). Even more interesting, these positions are listed as "particularly critical".



As much as I'd like to give the green light for console gamers who have been awaiting this news for years, I'm going to have to be the "dewey downer". Actually, I'll let Blizzard do that. In a statement made on Blizzard's community page, they mentioned those career openings:

"We’re exploring a Diablo-related concept for consoles and are currently looking to fill a few senior console-related positions on the Diablo III team...Please note that this is not an announcement of a console title."

So, Diablo III could indeed be coming to the console world. However, it is not decided at this point. I'll continue to keep up to date with statements regarding this, and hopefully before long we will have an official decision.

I wanna see how they are going to implement all the features/keybinds into one console controller. Lol. Well that's if they release it for console.

Converting RTS games to console is a tricky and risky move, but BLIZZARD is rich as sh!t, and people would buy it no matter what i think

Wow this would be so epic

Its a MMO nor RTS your thinking starcraft.. Diablo would be crap for consoles just like most MMOs are because there isn't enough buttons in less blizzard will make it work with a different controller or they enable mouse and keyboard for ps3.
