LittleBigPlanet 2, the sequel to the immensely popular and innovated LittleBigPlanet is coming to PlayStation 3 in January of 2011. However, it seems that gamers will be getting a taste of this anticipated title before the holidays with a demo that will become available on the PlayStation Store on Dec. 22. The demo will showcase various aspects of the upcoming game, from story levels, Sackbots, the new grapple feature. Additionally, the demo will include a bit of multiplayer, competitive scoring and "Creatinators armed with rockets".

In the second half of this report, Sony has also unveiled "Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves". This title is a standalone release, coming to the PlayStation Store on Dec. 14. in NA, and Dec. 15 in EU. PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to obtain it a week earlier, and for free.

There's a catch, though. The last word of the title, move, should stand out to you. Yes, to play this game, you must have a PlayStation Move controller. I can see multiple readers clicking back on the browsers already.

The title is also a cooperative-only experience, and also requires a Dualshock 3 controller. If you didn't catch that, one player will use the Move controller, and the other will use the Dualshock 3. Players will have to work together in order to succeed in this title, allowing up to five people to play together.

This content will be included on the LittleBigPlanet 2 disc, but I'm sure there are plenty of LBP fanatics out there that simply aren't willing to wait.
