First-Person shooters are currently the biggest part of the gaming world. Although other aspects of gaming are flourishing, it's the games like Black Ops that you'll see 600,000+ online players.

With this popularity, developers have been pushing their limits, trying to release some of the best shooters around. The winners of this are the gamers, of course, granted they're getting tons of great shooters in result. Nevertheless, the fanboys of the world have made it a contest. Luckily we have, thanks to the gaming social-networking site Raptr, some actually figures regarding each of the game's popularity.

Here's the chart below:



Black Ops, Modern Warfare 2, and Halo: Reach all performed fairly close to one another according to this information. Although that doesn't necessarily mean they're all equal games, it goes to show that there currently is not shooter that is more popular than the rest.

Let us put this popularity contest to rest!

its amazing that halo gets as much as a multiplatform game. and i dont like halo

That's because all those noobs on xbox aren't good enough for CoD so they stick to Halo. I have an xbox, and I recently played reach and I don't find it so amazing as other people do. :/

Im not a big fan of halo, but it is very addicting, but not even close to the best game on there. Sales and gameplay wise. Give it 2 weeks and BO will dominate the competition
