As has been briefly discussed in the past, developer David O. Russell will be making an adaption to the hit PlayStation 3 exclusive series: Uncharted. When Mark Wahlberg mentioned that he would be playing the lead role of Nathan Drake, he gave away some information that gives us insight concerning when we'll actually be able to get our hands (or eyes, rather) on this movie.

In the movie, Robert DiNero may play the role of Drake's father, and Joe Pesci is to play Drake's uncle. "Hopefully we'll be making that movie this Summer." said Wahlberg. If everything goes according to plan, and shooting does begin in the Summer of 2011, it may tie into the rumored release of the next installment to the Uncharted series.

Many fans of the video games worry that the movie won't do the games any good, not capturing the true beauty the games provided. Although we can't be entirely sure until we see the movie for ourselves, Wahlberg did have one thing to say:
It's not going to be the watered-down version, that's for sure."

With the rumored unveil of Uncharted 3 at Spike's Video Game Awards on Dec. 11, there will likely be updates in the near future.

Video game movies always fail./facepalm

Meh, that guys looks like Nate so it's good. Hope they do and old fashioned voice dub though, I would prefer if I hear Nolan North's voice from the games.

Wow, that's so cool they're making a movie on it. And with such a good actor.

I might see it just to see how it goes out, Mark Wahlberg doesn't seem fit for the role. He is more of a balls-to-the-walls action then a lara croft type character. Thats just my opinion though

rediculas this is gonna be sh*t whalberg is a crap actor and dosnt deserve this role ....he will ruin it the guy has no personality..which is need to play drake ..deniro and pesci thats a bit suspect great actors but im not sure bou them being in it

Mark Wahlberg to me seems like he's ALWAYS sarcastic even when not attempting to be. I can NEVER take him seriously. The games were one of the best. The movie will be one of the worst.
