Dead Nation Issues Clarified

Earlier today Dead Nation, one of many zombie shoot 'em up titles in this modern gaming era, was released on the PlayStation Network. The game received average reviews, but there was one issue many gamers immediately encountered: You click the Dead Nation icon on your XMB, jump in, and the game freezes. You reset and try again, only to be greeted by another freeze.

IGN found that the source of the problem comes from having a full friends list, for whatever the reason is. Players who have a complete friends list (including requests) will experience this issue that hopefully will be resolved soon.

"We've identified the issue and will have a fix in place as soon as possible," said Sony. "While this particular issue has only affected an extremely small amount of Dead Nation players, we apologize in advance for any inconvenience."

If you're one of the eager gamers wanting to overcome this issue, either:

  • Sign out of the PlayStation Network prior to starting up Dead Nation. (which defeats the purpose of the game)
  • Delete some of your PlayStation Network buddies. (admit it, we all have random people on our lists anyway)
