This thread is to inform you of the EU birthday of the Xbox 360 console, as the US birthday of this console was 10 days ago so Microsoft are celebration its innovations.
This year Xbox has reached its fifth birthday, a birthday that is being used to remind everyone of of the innovations the Microsoft product brought us as well as the many credits and awards it has won in the past. So far over the Xbox's five years in production it has been an a fight to be the top console over all and in many ways it has succeeded with offering HD gaming at a much cheaper price than a Sony PlayStation aswell as having its problems too we all know the infamous red ring of death (RROD) that caused many problems for Microsoft.
Microsoft is celebrating the release of there HD gaming console that launched in 2005, as well as what they see as there highlights of there own innovations such as the introduction of 'Xbox live chat parties' that came along with the console big update to revamp the dashboard. The Xbox live parties allowed across game chat with your friends so it no longer needed you to be on the same game. Other big steps for the console was the introduction of the full 1080p movie streaming allowing people to views there purchases almost instantly with a good internet connecting, other intoroductions to the console was that of Last.FM, Facebook and Twitter for Xbox live customers.
But what Microsoft are enjoying at the moments is the release of there motion capture gaming add-on for the Xbox names Kinect if you are not aware of the Kinect system it is unlike both the Wii and PS Move, you do not need a controller instead your motion is captured by a series of camera's. Overall the Xbox 360 console has sold over 45 million worldwide and with new features still coming more are being sold and shipped out daily and according to Microsoft the console has been at the top in the EU and US for the past five months.
