Here is a list of the Top 10 Games of 2010.

Note this isn't about how many copies were sold; this was about how the critics took the game.

Another note is;

1 - Best Game.
10 - Last Game.

If you don't want to read the whole article, heres just a list of all of them:

10. God of War III.
9. Red Dead Redemption.
8. Super Street Fighter IV.
7. Heavy Rain.
6. BioShock II.
5. Rock Band 3.
4. Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes from Liberty City.
3. Darksiders: Wrath of War.
2. Call of Duty: Black Ops.
1. Final Fantasy XIII.

If you are going to read the article, enjoy!

10. God of War III.

God of War III was nominated due to it's brilliant graphics compared to the first two games that werre before this game. Also it was nominated because of it's brilliant storyline and unique setting.

Kratos’ main weapons are the Blades of Exile (initially the Blades of Athena), with other new weapons including the Claws of Hades, the Nemean Cestus and the Nemesis Whip. The Nemean Cestus (a pair of fist gauntlets) and Item the Bow of Apollo are crucial as they are required to advance through certain stages of the game.

9. Red Dead Redemption.

RDR was nominated because of it's unique gameplay, free-roam, & minigames that give you the feel of what it was like back when cowboys roamed the west.

Here's a little information quoted from the article;

In addition to following the main storyline, players can take part in random events they encounter as they explore the West. These include public hangings, ambushes, pleas for assistance, stranger encounters, “ride-by” shootings, and dangerous animal attacks

[multipage=Number 8.]
8. Super Street Fighter IV.

Super Street Fighter IV has some great 2D gameplay, one of the most successful Two Dimensional games of all time, it's been popular since number one, and people still tend to enjoy it.

Much like Street Fighter IV, Super Street Fighter IV features 3D backgrounds and characters played on a 2D plane. Exclusive additions like “Focus Attacks” and separate meters for both “Super” and “Ultra” combos make a return. The “Ultra Combo” gauge and moves has been left unhinged since Street Fighter IV but players will be able to pick a second Ultra Combo available for both existing and new characters.

[multipage=Number 7.]
7. Heavy Rain.

Heavy Rain was nominated once again like alot of other games, because of it's unique interactable world & unique gameplay. You might have somme mixed emotions before you start the game because of the storyline, in my opinion, it's alright. But hey, everybody has their own take on different genres.

What's a different thing about Heavy Rain is there is no 'game over', you pretty much set your path by the actions you do ingame. If you like a certain piece of the game, once you beat it, you can replay it as many times as you want, whenever you want.

[multipage=Number 6.]
6. BioShock II.

BioShock II takes place in a horror-"adventure" setting, where you are a prototype Big Daddie, called 'Subject Delta', you're objective is to pretty much kill all the 'zombie' humans, there's not much to say about this game, besides easy plat with a really good storyline.

Plasmids and Tonics are special genetic re-encoding liquids that grant the user active or passive abilities, respectively, and include both those introduced in BioShock and new ones for this game.

[multipage=Number 5.]
5. Rock Band 3.

I have nothing to say about this game, I will just use quotes.

Rock Band 3 allows for several players, locally or through online game services, to use various instrument controls to simulate the playing of music.

In addition to the four instruments from previous Rock Band games—lead guitar, bass guitar, drums, and vocals—Rock Band 3 adds support for three additional players, two through backup vocal harmonies with the lead singer (a feature previously introduced in The Beatles: Rock Band), and one playing an electric keyboard.

[multipage=Number 4.]
4. Grand Theft Auto IV.

Grand Theft Auto is taking place in the ghetto of Liberty City, you're Niko, doing all of your cousins work for him, his name is Roman. You end up in America because Roman always tells Niko how cool America is, but really he's in some trouble, and he knows that Niko can handle all of his stuff for free, for a very cheap price. This is alot of Red Dead Redemption, with freeroam and everything. It was nominated because of the previous games, which are a big hit in all areas around the globe.

The Lost and Damned otherwise features similar gameplay to Grand Theft Auto IV. Additions to the game include new weapons, such as a grenade launcher, Automatic Pistol, half of a pool cue and pipe bombs, as well as sawn-off and automatic shotguns and new vehicles, such as Johnny’s custom-made motorcycle.

3. Darksiders: Wrath of War.

I personally haven't played this game, some people say it's a good game, some people say it's a bad game, leave some feedback on this one. Winky Winky

The world is divided into separate locations with many areas at first initially inaccessible until War regains many of his lost weapons and abilities. The center of the world, The Scalding Gallow, acts as a hub where War is given new objectives and paths to further unlock new areas.

[multipage=Number 2.]
2. Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Alright, I have alot to say about Black Ops, I personally think it's an okay game, Wood dying totally ruined my opinion on the game, though. It has great graphics and good gameplay, but I warn you, if you play this game on Multiplayer for a week straight, you will get sick of it, just like I did.

In this way, the player’s characters have their own traits such as voices and shadows. Each mission features a series of objectives that are displayed on the heads-up display, which marks the direction and distance towards and from such objectives.

1. Final Fantasy XIII.

This game is really good, GREAT graphics, and a perfect storyline. Mad props goto the developers of this game. I enjoyed the game because you can follow the storyline and NOT get bored. If you didn't enjoy the game, then you need to learn how to play some good games. Winky Winky

The game takes place in the fictional floating world of Cocoon, whose government, the Sanctum, is ordering a purge on civilians who have supposedly come into contact with those from Pulse, the much-feared world below.

I truly hated ff13's battle system, its the worst. I personally think they shouldve had a ff7 remake before they made this horrible game, the characters were cool and all but the battle system is miserable.

Totally so have I, but the battle system is very vital to the series as much as the story line so why change it up, main reason why I almost went suicide after ff12. Not literally but I just love the turn based battle system, made it way better. If they made it a little bit like the Tales series or the Star Ocean stories, i'd be in love with it.

I honestly don't think they'll change it.
It's a vital part of FFA.

I don't know what's all that hype over Final Fantasy XIII. I never played it or I am willing to but I don't think it tops GOWlll.
