(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Have seen lots of post re: Zonda, Bugatti, etc. But am curious about Red Bull X1, the various dedicated race cars from the 90's and 80s, and even the F1's.

Road racing is all that I'm interested in personally - no ovals.

And why are pepole saying F1 is fastest. I know your not saying the McClaren F1 is fastest..cause that this is VERY over rated.

My McLaren F1 Stealth does Indy in about 40 sec aswell. Only tuned parts no Ajustments. Those Pougeouts are the overrated cars. They cost 4 mil when they are easily beaten

No offense but drive the 908 or 905 before you judge it. I have them all.

The 905 and 908 "Does" outrun the F1 from start to Top out.

Now they all 3 basically top the same. 905 I think was bout 221, 908 is 230 and F1 is right at 220-223 also (I Think).

But the 908 gets to it wayy faster. Also, 'about' 40 meaning the F1 is running at "best" 43.5 around it. I konw I just tried it out lol

The 908 is doing 40 seconds per lap Literally. 40.3 - 40.8. The car never drops before 215 on the track.

I can see 4 Million being a lot for them, I didn't buy them, they where traded to me.

EDIT: I just re-read this...It sounded kinda messed up.... Please don't take it that way Jeff, it isn't ment as attack, offensive or anything of that matter.

Yes I'm a noob, but is the 905 only buyable from the Used-Car-Dealership or won in a race or what?

I would say the Used car lot...I traded for them, didn't ask how they got them, though I figure they got them with the glitch lol.

Go to Community> Select a friend> Then gift and select a car, or, you could just send them the ticket instead because they have no limit on how many you can send. Anyway, the F1 cars will be the fastest around most tracks, haven't really looked at the specs but since they are in real life then they must be on a driving sim right?

If you mean "Indy" cars you should say Formula 1 Cars. Not F1, there are cars named F1, you are confusing people, lol. (including me. lol)

Yes, all of the naming conventions can be quite confusing.

F1 will 99.9999999% of the time refer to the Formula 1 racing series. This series is very very old and is "the pinnacle of motorsport." F1 is an open wheel racing league and F1 cars are basically the quickest in the world around a normal road course.

McLaren is one of the most well known - and successful - Formula 1 race teams. They have from time to time built their own street legal vehicles, and, in the case of the Mercedes SLR, licensed out their name to be used by partner manufacturers.

The street legal McLaren F1 car, built in the 1990s, was an attempt by McLaren to work Formula 1 tech into a street legal machine. A similar example would be the Ferrari Enzo.

Indy Car racing is another open wheel racing league, but is quite far down in the pecking order of racing leagues.

Cars such as the Peugeot 908/905, found in the game GT5, are in real life from the now defunct "Group C" classification. In the early 90s, Group C challenged F1 as the "pinnacle" of motorsport - but now basically does not exist - it's modern incarnation would be the Les Mans racing series.. Group C cars, like F1 cars, are non-street legal vehicles built solely for competition.

Gran Turismo series racing, from which the video game series draws name and inspiration, uses street legal vehicles in various state of racing modification, depending on the specific regulations of any given GT racing league. GT racing has become increasingly popular over the past 15 years, as Group C racing disappeared.

The Nissan is the fastest I found round the indy track,

The 905 has the best rpm but lower hp resulting in a a lower top speed around the track.
