Road racing is all that I'm interested in personally - no ovals.

1992 Peugeot 905 Race Car is what I drove to win most of my races..

It is great on road course & Oval tracks

Around a normal race circuit nothing in the game will beat the X1, shame the only way to get it is to bet the Sebastian Vettel challenge at level 30.

Behind that though, the '10 Peugeot 908 Le Mans cars, The F1 cars and the '03 Bentley speed 8 are probably the fastest cars around a track.

F1 is the fastest

Agree that the F1s will be the fastest, but usually in online play those aren't permitted. Haven't seen any specs or driving impressions of the X1, but suspect if may be faster even than the F1.

Am curious about the 2010 Peugot 908 and other recent racers; shouldn't the '89-'92 race cars be quicker? Looking at the specs, the older vehicles all seem to have more HP and less weight.

R92C is faster, I also have the 905, Sauber Mercedes, Minolta & R92C.

R92C has 1027bhp and weighs 900k. Does does the indianapolis oval circuit/tuned @ 38seconds =D

The 905 and 908 does indy at 40 sec. Just tuned. no adjusting to it at all.

And why are pepole saying F1 is fastest. I know your not saying the McClaren F1 is fastest..cause that this is VERY over rated.
