<p align="justify">Square Enix has recently announced that their upcoming title has been delayed, it was originally set to be released in March of 2011. They clearly stated that this is to make the average gamers' experience with Final Fantasy XIV as excellent as it could be. They have not set a specific date for the new release, but in time it will be announced on their website.

Newly appointed producer and director producer Naoki Yoshida added: "The PlayStation 3 release will be delayed until we are confident that the game has reached the level of enjoyability and service befitting the Final Fantasy name for users on all supported platforms.

They are extremely sorry for the delay, for this title is very anticipated & popular throughout Japan & the world. They are also very grateful for the fans of Final Fantasy's patience & promise the game will be up to expectations of everybody.

To add on to this announcement, there is one more. For all you PC players Square Enix has added more time to the game's trial, so you can get a better feel of the game & the things that are in the game.

"The newly restructured team's top priority is to bring about improvements to the game's enjoyability, and therefore we have decided to extend the free trial period until we can provide a plan that outlines a level of enjoyment that will satisfy both us and our customers," explained Yoshida. "When we are confident that we have reached that goal, we will notify our customers immediately."</p>

Why square enix? Why!?!!??!?!

Personally, I can't picture a MMO FF game that won't suck... The game has xp caps in place to prevent imbalanced gameplay, the story can't be that great if they had to focus on the multiplayer aspect too much, and I would imagine that the combat system blows.

If that's what it takes to finalize it, than so be it.
This game should be worth the wait. :y:

I guess you never heard of FF XI(11), which was an online MMO only. And was a good game, one of the best MMO of 2004!
