Sony have secured deals with tv giants ITV and Channel 4 to include catch-up services ITV Player and 4oD (4 on demand) in the free PlayStation Network package on PS3, featuring alongside BBC iPlayer.

PlayStation 3 users will now be able to catch up on popular shows such as Coronation Street, X Factor, Britain's Got Talent, Gossip Girl and Emmerdale from ITV, and some of Channel 4's content such as Peep Show, Hollyoaks and Misfits.

Users will need internet access to make use of the feature. To start watching, connect your PS3 to the Internet, sign into your PSN account and then select the TV icon on the XMB.
