Im Close Detroit area and it seems to be fine for me.. have you tried going to the main menu then back to GT mode.. also i have had it where my friends network was down before mine.. so if mine goes down i'll post again..

weird , its back up now it let me sign into my acc but said connection could not be established when i went on gt but its fine now .
