(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i was wondering whether a wheel would improve my lap times, and skill. i have like £85 to spend and will play on gt5 primarily, i was wondering whether a glass desk would work to latch onto, and would prefer pedals. Happy thanks!

i got an old driving wheel from gt3 that still works great, only probs is that it sometimes thinks middle is off to the left or right, so holding the wheel straight makes the car veer to the left.
makes driving a hell of a lot more fun, and realistic

But a brand new one would work perfectly, so go for a logitech brand one, as they are often the best.

as for the table, mine works with plastic bolts that tighten it to the table, or stand i made, so the new ones might have rubber or whatnot.

well it depends what u want, mines got paddle gears, but if u want something more realistic, go for the stick gears, with pedals, plus they also work great on pc games too, and even better on a widescreen tv lol.

what kind are you looking for, and i can search for you if you like?

hehe id be fine with paddle gears, no clutch needed Smile just pedals and a nice wheel preferably with force feedback

well defiantly go for a logitech one if you want the force feedback then

well for your price range id go for the Driving Force GT, as they seen to be the best for gt games and come with a wheel(duh) stick and pedals.
this is about 90 pounds i think

for something cheaper, just go for the normal driving force, i got one, and there incredibly decent for what they are.
since their pretty basic, they just contain the wheel with padles, and a pedal box.
the most uptodate one is called a driving force EX, and about 50 pound i think, (im aussie so not exact)

and if you just throught screw it and wanted to go all out, then the logitech g25/27 is the one to go for, pretty much everything u need in it, but a hell of a lot more at 250 pounds.

At least I can fight
Once you get used to it, yes, it will improve your lap times. You will not be able to beat some of the harder events and achieve gold without a steering wheel. Problem is, all the really good ones cost alot of £.
