Guys, it is "not" in the patch.
The limit was repaired "server side".
This.
Every time you start up GT5 without being connected to any network, then it will be on local system time, however when you are connected to the server it feeds GMT which is then converted into the time of your time zone. This theory is proved because my PS3 clock will never be in perfect sync with the clock on my cable box, because the time being fed to my cable box is accurate time sent from my cable provider. A PS3 works like a watch where it is told one time and basically on 'blind time' meaning instead of being told the time constantly, it is counting on itself. There is a 3 minute delay between my PS3 and my cable box(real time) GT5 and my cable box both display the same time, disproving said theory, soz Captain but it ain't happening.
tl;dr GT5 fetches time from the server and not from the PS3 (like AlabamaHit stated)
Also, you can gift no matter what time you gifted last, at 12 am GMT (7 pm EST 4pm PFC)
