New Software Turns PS3 Into an Internet TV

Orbs Network unveiled a software that turns the PlayStation 3 into an Internet TV portal. This allows Blu-ray player's and PS3's to access movies and TV via services like Hulu, Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Video on Demand.

CEO of Orbs Network, Joe Costello, described the software as a


This software will cost $19.99 USD and has features such as being able to control the service through a smartphone app or on any computer.

The release date is set for sometime late February.

I normally just use my internet browser to stream whatever I need. If this is better quality and only a one time fee I will consider it. Until then, I will pirate :pirate:

I imagine the disc is 20$ and then you pay for each service offered if you want it. If im not mistaken Orb already exist for conventional blu ray players and it simply allows programs to run this would be pointless though for just netflix and hulu as aren't both of those already offered on psn as well as vudu... the only thing that seems interesting to me is the amazon unboxed video on demand. After that an inclusion of google tv in the future would be amazing but other than that it seems pointless to me...?

will be great if it is a one time charge of 19.99. I will definitely get it.

This is pretty cool,and it has a fair price
