[Confirmed]: Sledgehammer Games making the next Call of Duty

Although no official announcement about this year's Call of Duty has been by Activision yet, a job listing might have just spilled the beans.

The job post was advertising a vacant spot for Community Manager and asked the applicants if they would "like the chance to build and drive the studio community management effort for Sledgehammer and the next Call of Duty game".

Yes you read correctly, "the next Call of Duty game".

After months of rumors, we can finally be sure that Sledgehammer is indeed working on the next Call of Duty.

Heres a little background information on Sledgehammer.

This studio was formed by Activision in 2009, with studio heads Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey heading up development on a new Call of Duty title.
and they worked on the famous horror game Dead Space.

So what do you think? Will Sledgehammer bring something new to the table? Or will they "hammer" (no pun intended) the final nails to coffin of the Call of Duty franchise?

If you look at Cod4 and Cod MW2 activision and IW ARE teamed up Activision is a publisher not a games maker, IW is the games maker and gets activision to publish it.

Since IW had a bust up over a dispute of some kind, they left Activision and vowed to not make another CoD game, i'm not sure Sledgehammer is going to be able to get the online gameplay like IW but i'll see how MW3 is and decide after it whether to jump ship to battlefield.

To be honest i like Treyarch, there campaigns are good and they make the zombies games, BUT their online sucks ass.

Too right. I love zombies, I love the challenge. You only get to level 10, you wanna have another game and you keep getting better, but yeah...Online does suck. I was stuck on a loading screen while this guy had god mode hacks and aimbot and I got 5 death's (Not much :P)
without even being in the game.

Also, mathmaking...UGH!
