Over 800 Children Herded Together For Handheld Gaming

This week in Odawara City over 800 people met up to play portable gaming consoles.

The event took place in Dyna-City, the city's shopping center. This all happened in a space that measured 30 meters by 15 meters. All 849 grade schoolers managed to squeeze in and play educational English-study software for ten minutes.

As random as that is, the event did manage to break a record for most individuals gaming at once. The previous record was 190 people.

As you can see in the picture above, majority are playing the Nintendo DS for obvious reasons.
