The multiplayer Killzone 3 demo will launch at 11am tomorrow morning UK time, Sony has announced.
All PlayStation 3 owners will have access to the demo, which was previously exclusive to PlayStation Plus subscribers.
It runs from tomorrow until 15th February, and will offer early access to three online multiplayer modes and one offline mode.
Guerrilla Warfare, which supports 16 players, is a classic Team Deathmatch mode in which you and your teammates must try to kill as many of the opposing team as you can against the clock.
Warzone, which supports 24 players, returns from Killzone 2 offering a round-based multiplayer campaign consisting of five randomly ordered mini-missions.
Operations, which supports 16 players, is a new mode which aims to deliver a more story-based gameplay experience, consisting of a sequence of linear mini-missions.
Finally, Botzone is an offline multiplayer mode "ideal for those looking to get to grips with the controls, the weapons or the map layout before going up against live players". The beta features just one map, the "sprawling asymmetrical" Frozen Dam.

the release date will be the same as usa or a day earlier, the 22nd is for usa. so either the 21st for UK since guerilla games is in UK, or it might be the 22nd worldwide..idk.

almost as good? try 5 times better. better gameplay, DEDICATED SERVERS, NO LAG, awesome hit detection, graphics will blow ur mind on HD and 3-d tvs, and is the only game to utilize 100% of the power of the ps3, and the controls can be adjusted to typical cod controls minus the crouch being L2. its well worth it, and its constant nonstop action that doesnt stop. call of duty is a thing of the past, im already thinking game of the year in the beta process...seems silly, but this game in beta form is solid, with minor server issues, but that can be fixed.

i like the "almost as good"
i don't think i will ever play cod again after playing this. this is just TOO good. i was worried cause k2 had weird sluggish controls, k3? nope. awesome controls, awesome graphics, awesome everything. i have nothing bad to say about the beta (which i gotta add seems incredibly stable to me)

Million Miles Of Fun!
Yeah I have to agree after playing the beta for awhile Im really liking this game. The funny thing was after I played for quite some time I went on cod4 and I kept thinking people on my team were cloaking and vice versa, plus zooming in felt weird after playing kz. Im not a fan boy as I like most multiplayer shooters but KZ3 is definitely a win in my book. Can be pretty addicting while you change up roles and doing different things from sneaking around and melee people(how satisfying it is! - neck twist or neck shank anyone?) to getting awesome sniper frags, building bots etc.
This game is loads of fun and I really suggest anyone who likes good solid multiplayer shooters to at least give it a try. Hey even playing with the bots is loads of fun. :wtf:
