(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Yes, I know I read the new sticky'd thread by Mr Drake and I followed the instructions but I still dont get how to open ports and how to assign the minecraft server to a certain open exterior ip address port. Can somebody who knows for about this. Please?:embarrassed:

what kind of router do you have? i can help you i just need to know what kind.

well this should get us started. go to your start menu and type in CMD.

once you have cmd open type "ipconfig" then press "ENTER"
right under where you typed "ipconfig" it should say "windows ip configuration". under that it says "ipv4 Address somewhere.

remember that ip.

now go to your web browser and type in the ip.

a window should pop up asking for a username and password.

you are going to have to find the username and password from your routers manufacturer (the easiest way is to call them).

But the main usernames and passwords for routers are:

Username: admin password: admin
or
Username: admin passwors: password

once you get logged into your router look for "port forwarding" or "applications & gaming".

that should get you started i will tell you the rest after you get the first steps done. tell me if you have any problems and i will try to help you.
